Jeanine Brosch Executive Director Digital Product Management, Digital Health Eli Lilly and Company

Jeanine is responsible for leading the Digital Health Product Management function within Information & Digital Solutions at Eli Lilly and Company. She oversees the team focused on scoping and shaping Lilly’s suite of digital companion products to support medications and the patients they server experience better adherence and improved health outcomes. This includes driving innovation to create direct connections with patients in areas such as chronic pain, migraine, diabetes, oncology and Alzheimer’s. Jeanine also has extensive experience connecting and supporting digital customer support programs.

Within her 20+ years in Medical Device and Healthcare IT experience, Jeanine has held several managerial and leadership roles in R&D, Manufacturing and Marketing functions across numerous companies from small start-up’s to large corporate environments. Products supported have included blood glucose monitors, insulin infusion pumps, EHR integrations and numerous digital applications with Medical Device functionality. Her specialty lies in understanding and breaking down complex systems in a way that enables focus and delivery of what’s most important.

Jeanine earned her bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University, Lafayette IN and is a champion and long standing advocate of Women in STEM. In her spare time, Jeanine enjoys reading, Lego and puzzles in addition to spending time with her partner and their 3 children.

Jason is a Solution Architect and Practice Lead for DMI's App Dev & Data practice, where he is an AWS, JavaScript, and Node.js subject matter expert. Jason is also an AWS Community Builder and AWS Certification SME. Jason developed a passion for the web at a young age and has been learning and building his skills for over two decades. He has developed applications for small startups, mid-sized public and private companies, and multiple Fortune 500 companies in various industries.

Alain is a Google Developer Expert in Web Technologies, Angular, and Google Maps. His daily mission is to help development teams get started and become fluent with Angular. He has taught Angular and web technologies on all six continents!

A world-traveler and photographer, Alain is based in Sacramento, California. He an international conference speaker and a published author of several video courses.

Brian Demers is a Java Champion, Developer Advocate at Gradle, and a PMC member for the Apache Shiro project. Dave Fancher is a Lead Software Engineer at Vibenomics, A Mood Media Company in Fishers, Indiana, where he leads API development to deliver a reliable in-store digital advertising experience to customers across the United States. With a career spanning more than two decades, He has a passion for technology and has built software across a variety of industries and technologies.

Dave has spent much of his career working primarily with Microsoft technologies, .NET and SQL Server, in particular. His recent work has been heavily focused on Node.js and MongoDB. Along the way, Dave stumbled upon functional programming, first through LINQ, then F#. Functional programming changed the way he develops software and although he seldom works in purely functional environments these days, the lessons and techniques continue remain a distinguishing characteristic of how he thinks about and builds solutions for his customers.

Ed Finkler, also known as Funkatron, boasts an impressive 25-year career in the tech industry, with a focus on web technologies and open source community work. As a senior software engineer and technology advisor, he played a key role in maintaining the web and security archive at CERIAS, Purdue University. Shlomo is a senior software engineer at CyberArk. He's a maintainer of the Conjur open source project, a DevSecOps secrets manager that aims to solve the problem of secret leakage in production applications and workloads running on-prem or in the cloud. He's also a member of the CNCF's TAG Security and a contributor to multiple OWASP projects, as well as the leader of the Cincinnati OWASP Chapter.

He is a Lead Software Engineer at SEP, a software product design and development company. In his 10+ years in the software industry, he has worked on products ranging in size from small apps to enterprise systems; embedded, desktop, web, and mobile platforms; and in a variety of markets and domains including aerospace, medical, agriculture, construction, and secure communication.

Valerie grew up in the frozen north of Minnesota as the daughter of a software engineer and fondly remembers "take your daughter to work day" at the software testing lab. She draws from a diverse background with degrees in neuroscience, music, and computer science, as well as ten years working for colleges and universities for ten years in undergraduate admissions, student orientation and retention, financial aid, and fundraising.

Sam Nasr has been a software developer since 1995, focusing mostly on Microsoft technologies. He’s a Sr. Software Engineer with NIS Technologies where he consults and teaches clients about the latest .Net technologies. Sam has achieved multiple certifications from Microsoft (MCSA, MCAD, MCTS, MCT), and is the leader of the Cleveland C#/VB.Net User Group since 2003. I always focus on the user first. While working with enterprise systems and regulated industries, I have found that all too often the procedures overshadow the users. I take a distinct effort to make software as extensible, configurable, and testable as possible so that future users' needs can be addressed without excessive cost. I am currently focusing on Javascript in order to stay closest to the user experience, even though I will fully architect solutions all the way from the interface to the backend to the documentation. My current role is as senior software engineer for Aptiv Connected Services where I help automotive manufacturers build safer vehicles through software.

Justin Reock is the Chief Evangelist and Field CTO of Gradle Enterprise, and is an outspoken blogger, speaker, and free software evangelist. He has over 20 years of experience working in various software roles and has delivered enterprise solutions, technical leadership, and community education on a range of topics. After a fifteen year career in coding, Justin now focuses on helping businesses create better throughput by optimizing the developer experience. Paul Steele is a software engineer based out of the Indianapolis area.

I started my career as a java developer and have wound my way through cloud migrations to an SRE. I care deeply about making thing easier, empowering business users, and getting out of the way. While Rego is (for me) a mind-bending language, getting policy out of the codebase makes for simpler code. And a common policy language across the enterprise would allow for more knowledge sharing.

At SEP I'm working to establish our artificial intelligence practice. My responsibilities include educating clients and peers about what AI can do, identifying complex problems AI can address in whole or in part, and incorporating AI into software products that make a difference for their users.

Prior to joining SEP, I've held roles as a research scientist for a startup, the Charles-Stark Draper Laboratory, and an R&D consultancy. In each of these positions, I've done essentially the same thing: find and deliver feasible solutions to technically challenging problems that arise in a wide variety of domains and industries.

I completed my PhD in artificial intelligence at the University of New Hampshire in 2012. My research focused on using approximation and machine learning to solve problems known to be computationally intractable, such as automated planning and scheduling problems.

He is also a Microsoft MVP in .NET and frequently speaks at software meetups and conferences. He doesn't mind too much because he loves sharing what he’s learned, and it also gives him an excuse to visit any nearby National Parks, a passion of his, proven by the fact that he's currently made it to 52 of the 63 parks.

J also has a passion for building community and has served on several non-profit boards over the years as a result. Currently, J sits on the SoftwareGR board, a non-profit trade organization dedicated to building the software industry in West Michigan. He also runs Beer City Code, a software conference, and has served as president on that board for over a decade. I’m Tiffany Trusty, your typical #NerdyGirl. When I’m not using my Nerd Superpowers for the betterment of my community, I’m standing up to represent diversity in STEM. I started my career in public safety, where I discovered my passion for the customer. It was an honor to serve firefighters and police officers with my products for over 15 years. Now, I serve the patient as my customer. As a Product Manager for a pharma company, my job is finding the right digital product to help the patient manage their conditions and live a better life. When I’m not focused on my customers, I’m focused on supporting the females around me. Being a girl / woman in STEM can be lonely, and I have a lot of karma to pay back to those who paved the way for me. I work with both local and national organizations to make certain those girls with STEM aspirations KEEP GOING and those women in STEM careers feel seen, heard, and supported.

Tiffany Trusty was recruited to Eli Lilly in 2017 to lend her 20 years of software product development expertise to their forthcoming Digital Health organization. At Lilly, she has grown her expertise to include Software as a Medical Device (SaMD), specifically patient facing mobile applications. Tiffany began her career at Motorola where she learned the software development lifecycle (SDLC) craft. Experiencing everything from estimation and architecture to coding and testing, Tiffany left Motorola as a Senior Architect with expertise in Design for Testability and Cybersecurity. Tiffany earned her bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (the 2nd woman to graduate from the previously all-male, #1 in its class institution). After a decade in the industry, she returned to Rose-Hulman to obtain her master's degree in Engineering Management. Tiffany is a proud wife to a fellow engineer and entrepreneur and a proud mother to a confident and caring little girl. She enjoys wine and golf (but not at the same time).
